Wellington is one of the harder places in the country to keep paint on a house. Strong northerlies and southerlies, intense sun and salt carried off the harbour and Cook Strait all wear exterior coatings quickly, especially on exposed hillsides and the south coast.
A lot of Wellington housing is timber: villas, bungalows and cottages on steep sections, often two or three storeys high on the downhill side. Access is a big part of planning these jobs, and we allow for scaffolding or towers where they are needed.
Recent work in the city includes plastering and painting in Churton Park, and stripping wallpaper, skim coating and painting in Roseneath.
